Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and enterprise technology solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, secure, and maintainable production-quality code.

- Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, event-driven services, and distributed applications.
- Develop cloud-native applications using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design database schemas and optimize queries across SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and other data storage technologies.
- Implement application integrations with internal platforms, external APIs, third-party services, and enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, functional, and API tests.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with software engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot production defects, performance bottlenecks, integration failures, and application reliability issues.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, availability, and security.
- Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments on Kubernetes environments.
- Work with DevOps teams to establish and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent platforms.
- Implement secure coding practices covering authentication, authorization, encryption, API security, and data protection.
- Participate in application architecture and technical design discussions.
- Contribute to cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
- Build observability into applications through structured logging, monitoring, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain technical documentation covering application architecture, APIs, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
- Senior Software Engineers may mentor junior developers, review technical designs, establish coding standards, and lead complex software engineering initiatives.
