Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, automate, and maintain scalable DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure environments.
• Build and maintain reliable Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Configure and manage cloud environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, deployments, services, ingress controllers, ConfigMaps, secrets, namespaces, and autoscaling.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Implement configuration management and infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.
• Administer Linux-based servers and troubleshoot operating system, application, storage, and networking issues.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
• Implement GitOps-based deployment practices using tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Manage application releases using rolling, blue-green, and canary deployment strategies.
• Improve infrastructure scalability, performance, reliability, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement IAM, RBAC, secrets management, SSL/TLS, network security, and cloud security controls.
• Integrate vulnerability scanning, code analysis, container scanning, and security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply DevSecOps principles throughout application development and deployment workflows.
• Monitor production environments and proactively identify reliability or performance issues.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and post-incident reviews.
• Implement high-availability, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Manage artifacts and dependencies using platforms such as Nexus or JFrog Artifactory.
• Support microservices and distributed cloud-native application environments.
• Work closely with Software Developers, Cloud Engineers, Security Engineers, QA Engineers, SRE teams, and architects.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Senior engineers may define DevOps architecture, mentor team members, establish engineering standards, and lead cloud modernization initiatives.

Technical Skill Set

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Practical experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• Knowledge of Git and modern source-control workflows.
• Working knowledge of scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, load balancing, DNS, security groups, and firewall concepts.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Understanding of cloud-native and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with automated deployment and release-management processes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and application security fundamentals.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, networking, and application issues.
• Understanding of high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, backup, and disaster recovery.

Work Experience

Junior / Associate DevOps Engineer

Candidates may have approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud, Linux, Infrastructure, System Administration, or software deployment.

Hands-on exposure to AWS/Azure, Linux, Git, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, and basic Kubernetes is advantageous.

Mid-Level DevOps Engineer
