Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize scalable DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure environments.
  • Build and manage automated Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Configure and maintain Kubernetes clusters, workloads, services, ingress, autoscaling, secrets, and deployment strategies.
  • Build CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks using Python, Bash, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.
  • Manage Linux-based servers and troubleshoot operating system, network, storage, and application-level issues.
  • Implement centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic Stack, Splunk, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
  • Improve infrastructure availability, scalability, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement secure management of credentials, API keys, certificates, secrets, and infrastructure access.
  • Integrate security scanning and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines following DevSecOps principles.
  • Manage source control, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and release processes using Git-based platforms.
  • Implement automated deployment strategies including rolling deployments, blue-green deployments, and canary releases.
  • Monitor production environments and proactively identify performance or reliability issues.
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Define infrastructure backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity practices.
  • Collaborate with software developers, cloud architects, security engineers, QA teams, SRE teams, and infrastructure professionals.
  • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Senior engineers may lead DevOps architecture decisions, cloud migration projects, Kubernetes platform initiatives, and infrastructure modernization programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Working knowledge of scripting using Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and security fundamentals.
  • Experience monitoring production infrastructure and troubleshooting application or infrastructure incidents.
  • Understanding of scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud architecture.
  • Ability to work with development and infrastructure teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced hands-on experience with AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  • Experience managing enterprise Kubernetes environments and Helm-based deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of Terraform modules, remote state management, reusable infrastructure components, and IaC best practices.
  • Experience with GitOps platforms such as Argo CD or Flux.
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering practices, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, observability, and incident management.
  • Experience implementing enterprise DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, RBAC, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls.
  • Experience with microservices and distributed cloud-native applications.
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
  • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or enterprise observability platforms.
  • Experience supporting high-availability and business-critical production systems.
  • Cloud or DevOps certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA, CKAD, or Terraform Associate are advantageous.
