Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, investigate, and respond to potential cyber security threats and incidents.
- Protect enterprise networks, cloud environments, applications, endpoints, identities, and sensitive information.
- Perform security monitoring and threat analysis using SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, or equivalent solutions.
- Investigate security alerts and differentiate genuine threats from false positives.
- Perform incident triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting across endpoints, networks, identities, and cloud environments.
- Analyze Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), attack patterns, malware activity, and suspicious user behavior.
- Apply MITRE ATT&CK techniques to improve threat detection and incident investigation.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation of identified security weaknesses.
- Support penetration testing and application security assessments.
- Identify web application vulnerabilities using OWASP security principles.
- Secure AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud environments using cloud-native and third-party security controls.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), MFA, SSO, RBAC, and privileged access controls.
- Support Zero Trust security architecture and least-privilege access strategies.
- Configure and manage endpoint security technologies including EDR/XDR platforms.
- Support firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, WAF, DNS security, and network segmentation technologies.
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices.
- Perform code, dependency, container, infrastructure, and application security scanning.
- Work with DevOps teams to secure Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud-native environments.
- Develop and maintain incident-response playbooks, security procedures, and operational runbooks.
- Support security automation and orchestration using SOAR technologies and scripting.
- Monitor security posture and recommend improvements based on emerging vulnerabilities and threat intelligence.
- Participate in cyber-risk assessments, security audits, and compliance reviews.
- Support security controls aligned with ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and PCI DSS, where applicable.
- Work closely with IT, Cloud, DevOps, Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, and Compliance teams.
